Weekly Tutoring
Students I meet with weekly learn writing, reading, and annotation in-depth, and, as with all my students, I'm responsive to their individual needs. My goal is not only to help students meet the specific demands of each course (and each teacher), but also to improve their overall reading and writing skills. If they don't have specific homework one week, I use that time to elevate their knowledge with lessons tailored to their needs. Organization is critical, so we block out assignments ahead of time to prevent all-night paper-writing sessions. If extra sessions are required when a paper is due, my weekly students take priority for additional hours (though the goal is to prevent that need!)

Hourly Tutoring
This is for students who need help with a specific paper or assignment.
I've helped students with projects outside of the classroom too, like fiction writing contests, screenplays, and articles for the school newspaper.

Methodology
My students not only learn to conquer assignments but also their fear and anxiety of writing across subjects. Catering to each student's specific needs and learning styles, I aim to demystify the process. We focus on structure and organization--how to write to the prompt--while improving overall writing skills. I teach grammar (including diagramming) and style, and help students develop their voice, especially in personal (college!) essays.
Reading comprehension and annotation are key to continued success, so we tackle that too.
All of my students have raised their overall grades in English.
(I teach half of my students online over Zoom and half in person, and I am equally comfortable with both.)
